Primal Creation

Primal creation is een vijfkoppige band die volhardend metal naar hun eigen goesting speelt. Met een vaste bezetting sinds 2014 volgde 3 jaar later het debuut “Demockracy”. Hun eigenzinnige thrash met een moderne twist brengt hun op het podium als voorprogramma van D.R.I. en Skeletonwitch en ze veroveren een plek op Wacken Open Air 2019. Zelfs gedoemde Corona-jaar was geen match. Ze brengen hun digitale single “Vial Play” uit waarmee ze een stap vooruit zetten richting een meer progressieve en gestoorde sound terwijl ze vast blijven houden aan hun thrash metal roots. Met een neus voor hooks, melodie en authentiek agressieve schrijft Primal Creation een eigen verhaal.Hun tweede album “News Feed” zet hun evolutie nogmaals in de verf. Gemixt en opgenomen doorheen 2020 in samenwerking met Francis Snebbout bij Oakwood Recording Studio en gemasterd door Alan Douches bij West Side Music, New York wordt het album in 2021 uitgebracht op CD en vinyl. In 2023 volgt de single “Not In My Backyard” op film vastgelegd door Yarne Heylen van Carnation. In 2024 promoveert bassist Ewoud tot gitarist waarop roadie en kind-aan-huis Frederik de bass in handen neemt. Terug met volle bezetting en volle goesting werkt de band momenteel aan nieuw materiaal en zijn ze dit jaar te zien op Alcatraz Festival en Antwerp Metal Fest X. Dit is niet het laatste dat we horen van deze gasten.

Primal Creation consists of five persistent men playing metal the way they see fit. The band found its stable line-up in 2014 and self-released their debut album Demockracy three years on, in 2017. Their modern thrash metal brought them support slots for D.R.I. and Skeletonwitch as well as a spot at Wacken Open Air 2019. Early 2020 – the forsaken pandemic year – the band released a digital only single Vial Play. This new track displayed a step up towards a more progressive and twisted sound, while retaining their thrash metal roots. A keen eye for hooks, melody and authentic angry vocals complete the sound of Primal Creation. Their sophomore record News Feed displays the evolution the band has gone through. News Feed was recorded and mixed throughout 2020 by Francis Snebbout at Oakwood Recording Studio, Kaprijke (BE) and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music, NY (USA). The album released april 2021 and is available on both CD and limited vinyl. In 2023 the band announced a new single Not In My Backyard, accompanied by a video shot and edited by Yarne Heylen (Carnation) of Project Zero Studio. Longtime rhythm guitarist Cédric said his goodbyes in 2024. Roadie and friend of the band Frederik joins Primal Creation as new bassplayer, while Ewoud moves to rhythm guitar. With the band in full swing again, new music on the way and playing a.o. the infamous Alcatraz Festival, Primal Creation will make its mark on 2025 and beyond!
